here is a very deliberate style of anti-mainstream art, whether its prose or movies. It's all very knowing about subverting the norms. This film wears its style as a sort of propaganda in the way that Lynch announced himself in the mid 1970s. It chooses a style and an eroded narrative without the standard motifs and story lines that usually provide entry for an audience.

The major problem with this approach is that without a good idea it's pointless or rather it's inept as everything has been borrowed from someone else from another time and only the viewer's awareness of the various stylistic thefts will make it work, or not, as the case may be.

If ever a film implied its own narcissism this one succeeds excellently: it is both unoriginal while striving to appear so, and it is smug in that self-embrace. As a film school piece it might have achieved a minor praise from a tutor but that is all it might expect.IMBD

This movie has been getting quite a bit of gripe from the critics and I can see certain flaws in this movie. But I think most of the negativity is from how classy and good "Skyfall" was. And yeah, "Skyfall" is the better movie but this is actually a good Bond movie as well. It does have certain formulaic and structured direction going for it, mainly because it tries to add the classic Bond elements into this. It's still a fun movie to sit through and personally, I just wasn't really bored with it. Sure, some parts did seem slightly drawn out but for the most part it's a fun spy action movie. I can also see why some viewers might compare this movie to "Mission Impossible 5". But this has a very different vibe and different flare going for it, it is a James Bond movie after all. As a matter of fact I enjoyed this movie as much as I enjoyed "Mission Impossible 5". The action sequences was cool and the fight between James Bond and Mr. Hinx was brutal and it's one of the top one on one fight sequences I have seen that does not involve kung-fu. Mr. Hinx is like Nemesis from "Resident Evil 3" except he is human of course. However it's a movie that didn't seem to have a direct sense of direction sometimes and did seem inconherent few times, not as much as "Quantum of Solace" though. And it's a much better movie than "Quatum of Solace". The cinematography is also the best I have seen in a Bond movie as well. I personally enjoyed this movie enough to see it twice in theaters.IMBD

Wow! What a realistic adrenaline fueled ride this film was. I had no idea this movie was released until I searched movies playing locally. It was exactly what I expected from it's description and much much more. I would be very interested in watching a behind the scenes making of this film and how the actors were prepared for filming to the scoring of the film.

It is shot in only two sequences with a hand-held camera and improvised dialogue from it's very talented youthful actors. This film contains no editing... just a score that delivers the right feeling for each moment of this roller coaster ride of a night. At times, some of the scenes were a little ridiculous, far fetched and even laughable, but the beauty of what this film achieved can even be appreciated in it's necessary flaws.

For these reasons, this film is a masterpiece! IMDB
